Ambitious Coaching™ is the UW Center for Leadership in Athletics’ term for high-quality sports coaching. Ambitious Coaching™ is a holistic approach to individual and team instruction that blends social-emotional growth and improved sports performance. Targeted to student-athletes from elementary school through college across all sports, Ambitious Coaching™ serves as the cornerstone for the Center’s coach training and development.
The Ambitious Coaching™ approach to coach development is grounded in the idea that our coaching core practices are informed by both who we are (ie. philosophies, experiences, identity) and what we know (ie. sport knowledge, youth development principles, environmental factors).
