Regena Pauketat

Doctoral Student

Regena is currently a fourth-year Ph.D. student in Educational Policy, Organizations, and Leadership at the College of Education at the University of Washington focusing on qualitative methodology, organizational studies, and building a sustainable profession and diverse teaching workforce for educators. At the Center, she works with Dr. Jennifer Hoffman supporting undergraduate courses and research on issues of athletics and leadership in higher education, particularly focusing on esports, gender, and the collegiate environment. Upcoming projects focus on the legal interactions of universities & colleges, students, students who are athletes, and fair compensation for labor. Regena has a B.S. in Media Studies from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, an M.A. in Film Studies from the University of Southern California, and an M.A. in Secondary Education from the University of New Mexico. Prior to studying at UW, she worked for 6 years as a 7th and 8th-grade language arts and humanities teacher in New Mexico and California.
