Julie’s work integrates research and practice at UW’s Center for Leadership in Athletics. As the principal investigator for key projects, including Ambitious Coaching and State of Play: Seattle-King County, she teaches courses on coaching philosophy and youth sports. With a background spanning education policy, high school teaching, and national-level rowing. Julie earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown, a master’s from Harvard, and a Ph.D. from UW.
