Jennifer Peterson

Teaching Associate & Coach Developer

JP’s primary role in the Center will be teaching multiple undergraduate courses, assisting with IAL EDLPS 601, and supporting the CoachUp! Washington grant project in a variety of capacities.

Prior to joining the CLA staff, JP spent the past 20-years teaching, coaching, and training with an emphasis on health and fitness, youth-specific training, and athletic development.  Most recently, she served as the Athletic Director at Franklin High School (Seattle, WA). Her background includes teaching and curriculum work in the Seattle Public Schools, as well as coaching at the University of Puget Sound (NCAA III) and Seattle University (NCAA I). She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and National Board Certified Teacher (EAYA-H&F). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in secondary education and health and fitness from the University of Puget Sound.
