Marsa teaches for the Educational Foundations, Leadership, and Policy (EdFLP) area of the College of Education, both the Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership program and the Leadership in Higher Education specialty area. Her research explores female athlete physiology, health literacy, and coaching, with an emphasis on supporting coaches in translating learning into practice. She earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from Western Washington University; M.S. in Exercise and
Sport Studies from Smith College; and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Washington.
